IF you buy an expensive isle then u should bring out its full potentul right? Well here are a few things that would be an isle for the rich.....

First you need to know how to make bots and program their A.I. Now when I was walking about town I saw a Starwars droid hovering over a man's shoulder. Well instead of making a Starwars droid why not make people? Like agent Smith from the MATRIX or w/e
Now once u constructed your android you need to program its A.I. right?

And that branches of a whole new list of ideas. One example would be this: divide your isle into 3 sections.

One section is a FPS zone. You make a replica of your fav map in your fav game (mine personally would be Blood Gulch in Halo. or Zanzibar in halo 2) Make all extra bells and whistles you need. (Vehicles, decals, etc.) Then ad the A.I. bots. Script the bots so they have their own A.I. and you could invite your friends over and start a game of Slayer. (Death match)

The 2nd section would be an "RPG" zone. Customize the map to your liking; castles, forests, w.e you want. Then customize the bots to monsters; monsters seen in Final Fantasy creatures. Then customize the bot's AI and your set.

The 3rd section would be your house or w/e you want.

If this is possible, or if some genius comes up with this later on this then game would be a better place.

It's called Jessie.

AI in SL is not feasible without a lot of kludging.

It's called Darklife. Currently under development.

Gordon, sounds like you're sparkling with ideas. And welcome to Second Life. :)

I recommend you research into the back history of SL to see what's already been done and what will be yet to come. New World Notes is a great source to learn from:

http://secondlife.blogs.com/nwn/

In fact, Hamlet Linden is running a yearly roundup right now there, so you can catch up on the highlights of the year.

I also recommend that if ya aren't doing it yet, that ya hang around in sandboxes and see what's up. I see all sorts of whacky Matrix-like and Final Fantasy-inspired designs from time to time, and I like talking with the new inventors to find out what inspires them to create.

Do you make stuff too?

Cheerio! :D

The problem is the prim limits :) There comes a point where you can't add the detail to make the area "nice". Doing one of those ideas is feasible to a point, doing multiple in a single sim isn't.

I'm taking up on this challenge, Sir.

If you can afford an island, you can afford to pay people to work as 'actors'.

I charge $7.50 an hour, and can work full-time. I can frag pretty well, too.

wait, wait... i gotta see how this works...

$200.00/mo | $6.67/Day | $0.28/Hour

So just assuming you were working 8 Hours a day (fulltime) the numbers would look like this...

$1800.00/Month | $60/Day | $7.50/Hour

Meaning that the person could have NINE islands per ONE actor at your rate... with no overtime... and to do it right you'd need dozens of actors.

*rofl*

Edit: so how does this work exactly, if i can afford 200$/mo that necessarily means i can afford 1800? Hmm... odd math man, odd math >:)
