Half baked ideas for things to build in SL, but that you don't have the desire, time or skills to build: Rickshaw with 1st seated pulling, 2nd seated sitting (also works for sedan chair)
Fortune cookies - attach it, touch it - it reads a random fortune
Audio books - physical book in world that sets land stream to audio book stream
Geocache system - with direction / proximity detector instead of GPS
Water skis with tow boat
Fishing system - pole, bait, water detecting bobber, resell station for fish caught (by lb)
Sims status indicators - hunger, etc.. - make food, props to raise levels
Explosives system - plunger signals charges, charges signal scripted build prims
Large scale working missile command, asteroids (w/ av in ship)
Casino solitaire
XML/Email Newspaper that gives real headlines, same with weather, sports, etc...
SL Global Anonymous chat room(s) - email based using central reflector Try not to pick the ideas part (though I know you will). The concept is to spark ideas so that someone else might build them. * DISCLAIMER: by posting here, you pretty much are saying "go ahead, somebody build this" |

I'm working on building houses (like: http://www.icosavillage.com/) shaped like dodechedrons. Problem is I'm no geometry wiz and an still learning to build. And at a minimum of sixty prims for the shape (5 per face, 12 faces) it's something I'd have to slap down on a real property, and not just drop anywhere I see fit. But... this'll be my learning project, expect to see some rented land covered in these someday. |
