I just wanted to ask if anyone had any tips for making furry heads out of prims, (Nose, Ears with a bit of a tipped over look, etc) I finished all the textureing for it, I've been trying for the better half of the morning and yet to no avail to get something that looks like a Lynx/fox hybrid furry head, it would be great to hear some idea's, ^_~

I remember that there was a head starter kit over at Luskwood a long time ago, but I don't know if it's still there. If you want, once I'm inworld I'll drop a starter head and you can use it to start your own. Just remember to replace the prims so it doesn't end up with my name as the creator. ;)

If you are handing out heads (what an odd thing to say) could I have one too if not to much trouble? :)

You know, we could have a class in Luskwood...

We've got old parts, too. The base head isn't laying around but Arito or Liam may have it, or I may have it in the deep, dark, dank, desolate burbling bowels of my infinitely phantasmagoric inventory.

I'll give you guys one hint though. Simulate 'nurbs'. Stick with spheres. Spheres are the answer.

If there's enough interest, we could probably have a little class where by the end of it, you had, say, a canid, vulpine, or feline base head.

there is one very very lotsa work:

you know a MRI-scan? where a head is cut up in slices???

create these slices for all 3 directions.. takes about 15 prims per direction.. make the slices out of flat squares with tga texture.. (place the slices real close to eachother)

there you go: a head/dog/anything.. more realistic then ur AV

cost:

45 prims (minimum)

45 textures (L$ 450 total)

3 days of time

This is a great idea. There are enough players that would like furry avatars that would attend. Plus, it helps them learn how to tweak their own already-self-made furry heads. ;)

This would work OK only if SL handled alfas properly...

Based on what happens when you put just 2 alfas next to each other, I can't imagine the flicker fest 45 alfas in a confined area would produce. ;)

Thankies to all you peoples,
I think I'm ready to spend another 5 hours in PS then
upwards of 5 days with Spheres in SL :D

And I think that A class would be Great for people who've been baffled for long periods of time,

I saw a tutorial on furry-making somewhere on the island The Forest. It was near the hub, next to a sign that showed which Forest folks were on-line.
