Sorry if this is in the wrong place - I can't think where else to put it, and it is about building.

I've just purchased a plot of land (Uli). I've started building a house, but one of the neighbour's tree's branches is sticking right through one of the walls.

I suppose the normal approach would be to contact the person and ask them to move the tree, but the problem is that he/she isn't listed in any searches. What does this mean, and how can I get the tree moved?

Sounds as if the player's account has lapsed and the land will be released to the public before too long. I don't know what the wait period is on that however. I would IM a Linden on duty to have the tree removed.

Greetings, Goatman one thing you might want to try is , In the search or find menu theres an option to click whether you want to List Offline/Online avatars, Un-check that box and you should get more listings. So basically tell it you want to list everyone, whether they are online or not.

If the tree is Linden owned, you may be out of luck unless you contact a Linden. I remember buying a plot in boardman when I first started and it had a tree right on the border of my plot, so any wall that was on that border had a F***ing tree sticking through it. I gave up and re-sold the plot for profit.

EDIT =P.s. If the account of that person has expired it should be about 7 days till SL will release land holdings to the public. I know because my Credit Card had a Error on it once and they sent me an E-mail stating I had 7 days to contact my bank and fix things before they would release my land
