RL / SL Live Performance

I'm a RL filmmaker & multi-media artist. I'm currently working a performance piece and would like to in some way incorporate some kind of SL event. It's still all very vague but I though I'd start asking around for people interested in collaborating since the show is only a little more than 3 months away.

So, what can be done? I'm not sure - I'm very new to this. I'm open to ideas, suggestions, and people willing to collaborate or perform.

Well I did see some folks in SL are trying to make the first SL porno video.. but I dont think that was QUITE what you had in mind. LoL.


In seriousness though, what is it you are looking to make of the film? Is it a scenario or a idea that you have? I'm not very well known or very knowledge of SL, per se, but I will be glad to volunteer to assist and help if you'd like.

Aren -- Jack Digeridoo (sp?) has made a couplethree Second Life movies, so he might be able to help with the technical aspects of figuring out how to film things in SL -- I get the impression that it's not always straightforward.

As for ideas, I'm not sure; it'd depend on what your performance piece is going to consist of.

Thanks for the info so far! Also, Here is some clarification. What I'd love to be able to do is include a live SL event into my live RL event. The way I'm thinking of doing this is connecting my computer to a video projector while logged into SL.

I'm good at yelling w00t to the audience.

What overall are you looking to make from the experience of this? Will it be the general life of SL? A performance incorporated into the SL/RL to intermix with a story? So many curiosities and questions from this I have.

that sounds very cool. IF you need anything scripted I will be glad to help you. I've a lot of expirience and I a creative mind (If I may say so myself)
