Just wondering - any particular reason why you want sculpted megaprim rocks "made by Gene Replacement"?
I can't remember when things happened, but was Gene Replacement still an active account when sculpties came out? Were there any sculpted rocks made by Gene Replacement? Would some rocks made by someone else that looked much the same serve purpose? Is there something special about sculpted rocks made by Gene Replacement? I have some megaprims made by Gene Replacement, big ones, that could have a sculpt texture applied to them to make a sculpted rock. A big rock. I could make essentially identical sculpted rocks doing the same to megaprims made by others. _____________________

Most likely, it's just the megaprims that were made by Gene Replacement, not the sculpties. Take a sculpt map, apply it to a megaprim, and you get a megasculpty. It will read as made by whomever originally made the megraprim. That tells you nothing about who might have made the sculpt map.

I just did it, I now have a 40 meter rock "made by G.R.".
The sculpt texture was actually made by Mryia Boa, and the granite texture by Eric Linden. I hope it doesn't get caught in my shoe; it would really hurt. _____________________

Dont use the Gene Replacement megaprims

*All* megaprims were created via holes in the SL software. The *old* megaprims, the ones created years ago, many with "Gene Replacement" as the creator's name, behave badly. They often come in sets of 140 or so. They cause problems rezzing objects, moving around them, etc.
The *new* megaprims were created during a three day period in May, 2008, and in all respects except being able to edit their size, behave like normal prims. And since many more players are around nowadays, they created many thousands of them in almost any useful size - in three days ![]() |

Ok where can I get those sculpty maps to make huge rocks out of megaprims... never tried this! I saw some huge rocks I liked and want to know how to make them. Thx |

If you'd like to know how to make sculpt maps yourself, this would be the right place. If you're looking for ones already made by other people, head on over to the Products Wanted forum. That's what it's there for.
To make them yourself, you'll need an appropriate 3D modeling program, as well as sculpty scripts/plugins. For a good list of what's available, see the 3D software guide on the sculpty wiki. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Sculpted_Prims _____________________

A bit high-horsish, Chosen? - she only asked a simple question in an existing thread, not initiating it.
