What Mac users can use to convert sculpties from ZBrush since SculptyMaker converter is for PC only?

Thanks

I am wondering the same thing. I recently aquired Zbrush2 and have been unsuccessful so far at finding a converter. I'd like something simpler than Wings->Zbrush->Wings->SL, but I'd settle for that if nothing else is available....

You should try with Wine. At least, I've succeded in launching the program and convert an .obj file with it. I didn't test yet in SL the result, though :-)

If the zbrush obj export has the full square UV map, then zbrush -> blender -> SL would work. My Blender scripts use the UV map for the sculptie map bake, so any mesh with a correct UV layout will convert.

It should just be a case of File - Import - Wavefront (.obj) then File - Export - Second Life LSL (to dir) to get the sculptie map and a script to recreate it inworld.

There's a few extra things you could do if you want to include the texture in the LSL but you'd need to learn a little more about using Blender for that.

Rename the UV Layer to "sculptie"
In object mode add another UV Layer
Load and assign the texture (in edit mode) to this new "UVtex" uv layer.
File - Export - Second Life LSL (to dir)
