Here are a few basic sculpties for no cost. http://www.psyra.ca/neverdelete/sculpty/smoothed_cube.png -- Smooth-Edged Cube http://www.psyra.ca/neverdelete/sculpty/smoothed_pyramid.png -- Smooth-Edged Pyramid http://www.psyra.ca/neverdelete/sculpty/smoothed_cylinder.png -- Smooth-Edged Cylinder http://www.psyra.ca/neverdelete/sculpty/six_stairwell.png -- Six Stairs in One Prim (would need to be set phantom and a sloped prim for the actual surface as sculpty prims still have cube collision planes) http://www.psyra.ca/neverdelete/sculpty/smoothed_arch.png -- Smoothed Tapered Archway You will need to convert the textures from PNG to TGA, then upload, and they should work fine.

Very nice, thank you. I believe the latest SL viewer supports uploading PNG files, is there any special reason they should be converted to TGA first?

Wouldn't it be better to post an in-world location where these textures can be found, so people can grab and use a single copy rather than upload exact duplicates? As it is now, 500 people are going to upload the exact same 5 sculpt textures. On the other hand, thanks for providing these for free! I have a free sculpt-texture vendor with preview. I can send a copy if you'd like to use it for serving-up your sculpts

Indeed, they're Sculptypaint stuff. But for those that don't want to get it or are too lazy... these are here. Consdering this was a building tips forum I wasn't sure if it was the right place to advertise, as it seems to cause threads to get closed.

It's ok Psyra ^^
Glad you provide free examples of stuff you created. And enjoy creating them, and spread them around. And I noticed lot of people just dont have time, or interrest creating new things themself, thats why I sell stuff as well I created with sculptypaint.
Just enjoy, and create new things yourself. And feel free to spread the works and creations somehow that are unique for every person around.
And I think latest client can import PNG files

And to make them even more free...

Whoever uploads these into SL (that's Psyra if he's tested these on the main grid) can copy the textures' UUIDs (just right-click on it in your inventory; the option will be there), and paste them in here or some other even more public location. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Sculpted_Prims:_Sculpt_Maps_and_Textures (which contains instructions on using UUIDs) could use some more handy/interesting contributions. And yes, PNGs are finally compatible with the SL upload system. Which really just means you get to convert it directly to an SL JPG2000 instead of PNG->TGA->SL.

From: ee Oh SL JPG2000..
what s that? JPG2000 is the graphics format used internally by Second Life; every image, texture, sculptie map you upload is automatically converted by the client software before uploading. So it's nothing you need to worry about. Al's just pointing out that you no longer need to convert PNG images to something else (such as TGA) first.

Thanks so much for making these available, I just grabbed them from PK Pounceworks. Efforts like this are appreciated.

LOL, the thought of thanking someone is valid, smartypants....FYI, I did it somewhere else on here too, put a comment on an ancient post to say thanks. Now I try to preface the 'necropost(s)' (great term!) with something like "I know this is an old post but..." so I don't seem like such an airhead. *snicker*
EDIT: Gee, can ya tell I'm new? LOL.

I didn't say it was a bad idea. I just said "Wow." Thanks are always good, even if the person you are thanking is long gone and unlikely to ever see your note. In general, though, if you have something new to say or if you want to pose a related question, a brand new post is probably a better bet than a necropost. If nothing else, it's less confusing for other people who may read the thread, as I did, and only belatedly say, "D'oh! This conversation is two years old!"
