I was trying to find a Linden owned sandbox in a snow sim and I can't remember where it is and I can't find it using the ingame find function or searching the forums. Does it exist or am I having another false memory?

In that vein, I thought it might be useful to make a list of Linden sandboxes and private sandboxes as well.

The Linden sandboxes I know of are: Morris, Cordova, Goguen, Island Sandbox, the damage enabled sandbox Rausch, the counterpart to the Morris sandbox in the old alternate welcome area , and the no-script sandbox sim Newcombe. You can build on and about the teaching platform in Oak Grove. Are there still any other learning platforms around? Is there a sandbox area near the new welcome area out east?

The private sandboxes I know of are at The Learning Center in Mauve (121, 96) and the Clara sim has a very large sandbox area owned by Aleksander Martov there is a listing in the Gigas Group for a sandbox area, the Ivory Tower Branch has a sandbox at Natoma 38 40 which is land edit enabled, which is pretty cool since it is an old sim with high terraform limits, and there's a sandbox area in Java at 14, 121.

I didn't include the privately owned sandboxes that looked like they are just undeveloped land for sale since they could sell at any time.

Definately no sandboxes out by Waterhead. Considering the surounding area is forest, I have no idea where they'd put one.

Mightn't this be covered by SL Parks and Recreation? If they already have a list, you may save yourself some time and effort. :)

The Natoma sandbox does not have land edit enabled (I'm there at this very moment) and I haven't found any other sandbox that would allow me to edit land.

Two Natoma sandbox areas quite near each other?

I think there are two Natoma sandbox areas quite near each other, one land edit enabled and the other not.

The Clara sandbox is 3/4 of it

I was quite fascinated by that actually, I had my home in Clara since starting in December '03 through to about November/December '04 and even by then there were a lot of land-owners there who'd been there all along and seemed like they'd never move away. Then I drop by to check out my old neighbourhood and find it's all gone and where my house used to be is just a big puddle!

Quite sad in a way :o But I like what they've done with it. It beats that situation IRL where people often go back to their old neighbourhoods and find it's now a block of flats or a car park :)
