Is there any way to fine-tune the grid for smaller segments or anything?

Yes, but the Lindens are apparently ashamed of it, as it's hidden rather well. First, you have to be in edit mode for it to work. Then, Ctrl-Shift-B (because B stands for "Grid Options"  or Tools > Grid Options. I've been begging them to put a "Grid Options" button on the Edit window forever. No such luck. |
