Hi everyone,
I looked back through some of the threads and didn't see this question asked. Is there classes in SL where you can learn to make clothes or shoes? Anything fashion wise? I'd really like to make clothes, but if you also know of what I can do or where I can learn to make shoes, jewelry etc... that would be awesome! I've searched in SL and can't find anything. I've asked a few designers and mums the word with them. They won't share with me :(

Any online tutorials would be great too. I'm more of and hands on person though and really hope there are some classes out there.

You're looking in the wrong forum. Try the sticky on Tutorials at the top of the Texture tips forum.

You know, it's easier to go the route of tutorials for learning clothing considering that you spend the majority of your time in your texture program. I have seen a prim skirt class held at SLLC however...and some shoes.

The best thing to do to learn clothing would be to find some offsite blogs that offer tutorials.

Silk,

Bring up your Search window, select the Events tab. Change the dropdown from All to Education and click Search. You will find all sorts of classes you can take. Most are free (tips to the instructor are welcomed, but not necessary.)

There are classes there for making prim shoes, prim skirts, prim hair, clothing, and a myriad of other things.

I have taken at least a hundred classes, and almost all of them were taught by instructors who were good at it and enjoyed teaching.

Good luck, and welcome to SL

Make sure u looked at all the tutorials in Sl and look in Youtube also, one thing also make sure ur skills are somewhat good in certain aspects of photoshop etc, cause if ur not intelectually literate of certain basic skills, itll be a slow process. but hey u got to start somewhere.
