Proposed Community: Coruscant(Star Wars)

Wouldn't it be interesting to go emerge yourself into a recreation of everyone's favorite Sci-Fi trilogy? Well that is what the Star Wars themed community is proposing. It will probably be named Coruscant but I need to talk to the other members about it if this goes through. We currently have a proposal for a cantina, a weapons shop, a death star, an imperial fort, and a few others to come. I currently have 5 people atm who want to build in this community. They are Darth Jones, Elmer Jones, Lexus State, Alexis Fairchild, Maximus Armstrong, Craig Thompson, and Lavinia Crash who wanted to, but doesn't have much building experience. I am looking for more people who are interested. I do not want overlord towers which have super blasters or something whacko like that so just to make sure I want to hear people's ideas and decide if they are acceptable. If I get too many people who are interested(5 min before I am posting this I announced my idea), I will pick those that are the best. We are looking for things like secret rebel bases or jedi tower or emperor's palace or something in SW or realistic in the SW galaxy inspired by something in the books or the movie. Also I do not want things like a midevil castle. I want it to stick true to the movies and the books. The trilogy is expandable so use your imagination and come up with your SW fantasy land.

Oh I am so there. I'll have to come up with something fun to do, maybe a weapons lab or hanger. Heck I could even make a small starship dock, perhaps with a half made starship in it. Little welders sparking, droids wandering in endless loops, oh that would be so fun. I'll be online most of tonight.

I got another idea. Maybe we make half of it Imperial and the other half the rebels. We will have tall buildings and they will have secret establishments disquised as something else

There hasn't been much activity on this thread, so are we still good to go? So whats Group name, group size, any plans for a meeting, etc. I really like this idea and since my TIE wont fly as of 0.81 I feel need to express my starwarsness. I am saving every buck I can for land still not enough for 1/16 sim but maybe 1/32.

FYI I am not a starwars nut or anything I just find it an easy theme to work with. But then again denial is always the first sign of an addiction.

The group is called the Coruscant City Team and everyone who said they would make something should have been invited sometime today. I am getting a meeting set up probably sunday to discuss the plans for it.

Just a little update

1. The group has been established as the Coruscant City Team. If you are on the team and I forgot to invite you, IM me at once.

2. I was asked by a few people why they aren't officers. The answer is a quote from the transcript of the meeting friday.




3. The meeting is for sure on Sunday, June 8th at 6:30 PM PST and all members are urged to come to share their ideas and all non-members come by if they are interested or want to share some thoughts. Also there's Star Wars Trivia so come for that as well

4. Alexis has dropped out due to being involved in another project and I have to talk to Lexus about being a member of two different communities when we can only be part of one.
