Do any of you think it would be possible to get LL to improve the Prim Cutting and Hollowing Features?

How friggen cool would it be if you could do a simple offset on a Hollow? This centering only is becomming a nuisance ...

Yes, that would be useful. But it would require a fundamental redesign of how prims are constructed. There's a very good reason holes are centered, and only go a long one axis. Changing that is not as simple a problem as you'd think.

There have been lots and lots of threads discussing this, just so you know. Here's are a couple:

They're maybe not the best examples, since they go off on some tangents about other engines and other ideas, but they're the ones I happened to find with a very quick search. Try to ignore the irrelevant parts. The explanation for why holes are the way they are is what's important.

just use a texture or make a texture putting the hole where you like it. ;)
