Well, it didn't take long for me to get wholly hooked on this unique, er, game... Now comes the time for me to tier up. I've read the documentation so I just want to run it by you old hats to make sure I understand things well: What I believe I'm to do is make sure that I tier up via my account, move from the $5 to $8 per month, then I simply purchase (via L$ or $, depending on the sale option) the land I'm interested in. However, the caveat is that I'd like to move from my little 512 land-for-the-landless plot to a single 1024 plot (rather than get two seperate spaces). Would I then do the following: Sell my land, then, when landless, BUY the more appropriate land (a single space of 1024). Is this all correct thinking? Never done the real-estate thing before.

basically, all you need to remember is that you can't own more than your tier... even for 5 minutes...
With that in mind, there's no hard and fast rule.

buy a second 512 lot or try to aproach it
set your whole place for sale for a not too high but not too low price depending if you found a 1024 lot, or do like me, make friends around your lot
it add t the fun of the game to know your neigtbor, and some will probably give you some little block, there is plenty of way to do it, just remember to be very patient and gentle

I'm a little unsure of what you mean by "try to ap(p)roach it", when you say buy a second 512, Kyrah. Otherwise, I get the gist of it, though. I'll find a 1024 plot that I like, check out the neighborhood, then go from there.

Most people selling land in SL will work with you, too.
If you find a spot you like that's close to the 1024 you want, IM the seller, and ask them if they'll "reserve" it for you for a couple of days, until you can sell your old place.
Or, depending on who the seller is, they may be willing to "trade" parcels with you.

You will have to pay for the highest tier you place yourself in for the current month.
So, if you keep your 512m and get another plot that is 1024m, you will have to pay the US$15 tier fee for June. You can sell off the 512m and lower your tier back down to the US$8 1024m tier for July's bill.
So, if you want to avoid an additional charge, dont go over your current tier. Sell the 512m first and then find 1024m plot.
