Hi,
I spent yonks making some very cool shoes, and instead of making two sculpties for either side of the foot, i just 'mirrored' one side in the object pane. Now the prob is, i gave out a whole bunch and they were fine, but a couple of people dont see the mirrored sculpty properly, they see it as if its unmirrored and is back to front :/
Anyone know wtf happened? Or is mirror not meant to be used for this kinda thing?
thanks
Dru.

It's supposed to work, problem is not everyone is forced to update to the most recent viewer, which allows for sculpt mirroring. Some folks are using clients as old as 1.19, if i recall correctly...?

Yeah, unfortunately sculpty mirroring is only a feature of the latest viewer. Anyone using an older version won't be able to see it. The same goes for oblong sculpts.
Until enough time goes by that the older viewers get disallowed, I'd suggest not using the newer sculpty features. That, of course, means wasting polygons, textures, and maps, which in turn means more lag, but there's never any reasoning with the "older viewers are less laggy" crowd.
