It's hard to talk to everyone in a group at once if folks are offline so I thought I'd just post here. It's long been the goal of the DarkLife project (a goal supported by Lindens, Ama, etc) to include as much of DarkWood village as want to be included in the DarkLife project. To this end we would like to start inviting residents and shopkeeps to make DL items. These could be - magic jewelry - magic staffs/wands - weapons of all varieties - shields - armor of all kinds - other? To take part DWers should own a busines to sell from and then make items. Mark Busch, our coder, will then secure these items and add scripts to make them work with the game. You set up a special DL area in your shop and we place items there. Creators can charge some L$ (in addition to the gold coins of DL) and we will take a cut too. The idea is to use DW as a place for DL players to socialise and shop. Already Eve Cartier is planning to sell potions from her Inn and we'll put a shrine there for healing as well. We also have Ranziell making some armor pieces. We will start building the DW side of the game in the next week or so. So, DarkWood, take part! Buzz me in game or here to chat more about how you can join in the fun (btw, i lag bad in game sometimes so if i don't reply, keep trying). Thanks all. Pirate Cotton on behalf of DarkLife team

Pirate, designing weapons isn't my thing. But designing avatars is. Is there a market in your game for creating races? Like elves and orcs and things that people can play as? Lemme know

Well let me answer that one Any Avatar or Clothing you make can ofcourse have no effect on the game itself. But we will have three classes in the final version and it might be very possible that players would like to buy special avatars or clothing for when they are in playing DarkLife. But that's all up to the players So you are free to try it. I really like the idea and if you want I can get you an 'official' DarkLife logo for your avatar/clothing shop (after I have seen the avatars you designed ofcourse). If you want to start working on it, the classes will be:- -Warrior -Mage -Healer you could a few designs for each class so players do have some choice good luck!

I think DarkLife is BRILLIANT. And I love designing jewelry. Anyone with a DarkWood shop want a partner? I don't currently have a shop there, and haven't seen any for sale in a very long time. However, the idea of making magic jewels for sale really appeals to me.

We started today moving some stuff around. The DarkLife main shop will be more south on the other island, and the shrine and potion shop will be near and in Eve's Pub (little west of the main shop I think).
In the meanwhile I made a start with the final version of DarkLife (see general discussion forum), we'll start making some kind of wood, and we'll be using the graveyard for monsters. The current backpacks, monsters and items will all be replaced (we'll keep the designs), but it will be worth it!!!
In the post about DarkLife demo we clearly stated that we would not save any stats, however most people seem to have not read that, or have spend so many hours on the demo, that I decided I will transfer their stats to some extend.
However the final version will have automatic stat transfer when a new backpack is introduced.

I think a lot of Land is still owned by Linden, and I also believe that Ama Omega has some saying of who to sell that land to... so you could talk to him. But I'm not sure about all this. Anyway you can still sell your item designs to DarkLife if you do not own a shop, but I would like to see darklife item-sales in player-made shops

I'm not sure how much land we have now, but if have too much you could put your shop onto our land (Pirate Cotton's land) I think. I'll be online tonight working on the demo and on the final version. Expect magic and other cool stuff in two weeks

In an effort to maintain the theme of Dark Wood -
If you want to move into Dark Wood, first check with Ama Omega or Eve Cartier to make sure your plans fit in with the community.
Also, if you own land in Dark Wood and want to sell it, make sure the buyer is pre-approved. If you need to get rid of the land quickly and can't find an approved buyer, then ask a liaison to buy the land rather than releasing it to public.
If you want to participate in the Dark Life project or use part of the 1/4 of the region used by Dark Life, check with Pirate Cotton or Mark Busch.
