Bending a curve in Blender

This is a modeling question for Blender; how do I bend a model to create a gentle curve?

Specifically, I'm making a belt and I want the flap that comes out of the buckle to gently curve around the waist. I've used an flattend cylinder for the flap and it's only the tip of it that needs bending.

Any help would greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

You should be able to simply select either some faces, lines or points, and move them to their desired positions. You can then test an upload to sl and if the lines of the silouette of your item show angles then you can use multi-res in blender to smooth them out. :)

As far as an actual "bend" function tool, I am not sure as it has been awhile since I have been in blender.

Here's a quick example of how to use a curve to shape a sculptie

http://dominodesigns.info/downloads/blender/belt.blend

Basically model the belt flat and then use the curve modifier to shape it around the waist.

You can also use the warp tool.
Place the cursor and press SHIFT + W.
Experiment.

Thank you guys! I tried all methods and found the basic moving of vertices with Connected on to work the best.

However, I would love to learn more about the Curve modifier and the Warp tool, any suggestions for reading, tutorials or videos?
