I'm moving out of Olive because I just haven't had time to build. And rather than just selling it all, I figured I'd do something for Olive instead.

There are two rectangular plots in south Olive, each 1728 sqm. The details are available at the sites themselves, but if you want a plot, you basically have to:

1. Have the allotment for 1728 sqm of land.
2. Submit a plan for the plot that benefits Olive and uses the Mature rating to good effect. (e.g. shop, free-speech zone, garden, club, etc.)
3. Have any standing structures prepared before hand.
4. Be willing to maintain that plot in good faith. (I'll just have to trust ya!)

Put your proposal on a notecard, slip it into the box, and I'll look it over. ^_^

(Incidentally, I've also got a couple plots for sale out there if anyone's short prims.)

An incidental note, just so everyone knows -

I do reserve the right to review all the proposals. I have to be fair, y'know? So don't go tiering up, selling your land, or building anything specifically for those plots until I tell you the land will be yours.

Well thought-out proposals will have the upper hand, of course. If you're thinking 'Hey, free land for yet another strip club,' you probably need to do some more thinking ^_-

If you live in Olive, and you have some ideas on what you'd like to see in your neighborhood, please post them here ^_^ Keep in mind that these plots are medium-sized, so nothing huge.

Kohne, I can't get on to check right now but do you still hold a very small plot or two in the NW corner of Olive?

I'm afraid all my land for sale has been sold. :/ Sorry. -_-

Here's the status on the free Olive land:

One plot is being built on by Freebird McCoy. He's working on a combination of club and art gallery (his own art). If he comes up with a nifty build that attracts dwell, the land is his.

The other plot (at Olive 150, 50) has not yet been given out.

There's been a suggestion of a sort of fleamarket where anyone can drop off their odd (mature?) gadgets/creations to be sold at lower prices, and old items would be removed periodically to make room for new items. I like this idea provided someone would devote time and resources to it.

Feel free to visit the site in-world and drop a notecard (with your name) or reply in this thread!

Plot one is being given to Freebird McCoy for a land-raffle place. Thanx, Freebird :)

I'll wait until Wednesday night if anyone has good ideas for what they wanna do with the other 1700m2 plot. (feel free to post here.) If that doesn't work out, I'm gonna sell it low.

For anyone interested, there's a lesson to be learned here ;) It's really hard even to give land away with any stipulations at all on SL. ;)

I'm the Webmaster and Advertising Head of Riot Radio (http://www.riot-radio.com) and we're currently looking for an area to house our station clubhouse.

We're an uncensored station that broadcasts two shoutcast streams at 24k and 56k MP3Pro. We play a variety of music but primarily hard rock and alternative.

We have an established listener base through THERE, however, due to that game's recent situations we have decided to branch out into SECOND LIFE. We are looking forward to re-establishing a regular schedule for broadcasting very soon and are currently on the lookout for new DJs.

Our clubhouse is already pretty much constructed, there is a little bit of coding work to be done but we would at least be able to move some content in immediately. Along with the station, we would also establish a mini-mart area for select designers to show off their latest products free of charge.

Thank you for your consideration.

Mr McCoy needed more land to do his raffle thingie, so let's try this one last time. I picked the most useful land and divided it into three 768sqm plots.

A: Olive (140,50)
B: Olive (115,50)
C: Olive (115,15)

FusionAddict Roentgen - if 768m2 is enough for your purposes, pick either Plot A or B and start building. Riot Radio looks pretty sweet. I suggest plot A because it has an attention-grabbing view of the market place to the south. Track me down in-game once your build looks good, and I'll give you the plot straight up.

Edit: BeauTurkey Basset got Plot C. As far as I can tell, he's gonna make a treehouse-type place.

If anyone wants to set up a spot for vending, gambling, or ATM-type machines, I suggest plot B. It's centrally located.

If you're interested in the remaining plot (A or B), post in this thread. (Please state what you're gonna put there; 'i want teh land.' doesn't tell me anything!) I'm eager to get rid of these plots so I can work on other stuff. ^_^

I want teh land--ha ha

Hello!

Just wondering if you're still having trouble giving away a plot. I'd be interested, but being a relative newbie (2 weeks) I haven't had too much chance yet to build a house, and design everything. What I was hopeing to do was build a garden area, with (after made or populated with it) free, copyable foliage, that way we could green up the area some! However, I don't know what kind of prim count a plot the size you are offering would have. Hope t'hear back and thanks!

I wanna' say that me and Kohne talked for a while and although I did not keep the land for long, I could have.(HAd an oppurtunity to go elsewhere with a larger piece) I was very very impressed by someone giving me free land and trusting me to do something cool with it, and I feel bad that I could not repay their kindness much at all. People like Kohne are rare nowadays, and I just wanted to give a shout out to them. This is a cool player, and an example of someone really doing for the community! Bravo!
