So many questions

Hi Everyone, I seem to have so many problems selling the houses I make. I have used the rez faux thing and still have problems. I think it's a permission thing. Does anyone have any good ways of using the Rex Faux thing or even just selling my houses with out it. Need easy ways. This has been holding me up forever and I need help. Thanks!

Louva, you need one thing immediately: an alt.

When you complete a project, set your permissions and take it back into inventory. Pass a copy to your alt.

Have your alt rez it in a sandbox and make sure the permissions are correct.

When you have verified that the next owner permissions are transferring correctly, only then do you box it up in Rez-Faux.

Double check the Rez-Faux package with the alt, just to be sure, before you put it out for sale.

If you are following the Rez-Faux directions carefully, it should work perfectly if your original permissions are set correct. Keep in mind that items packaged with Rez-Faux will show as "No Modify" in inventory. They will revert to the correct permissions when the object is rezzed (assuming you had the permissions correct to begin with.)

I've never had a problem with the rezz-faux system - aprt from forgetting to link some bits! (Grr!)
Anyway, what you may find is that it may well be something very simple - maybe a no perm texture or script etc.

You should link up as many parts of your house as you can. Keep linking parts until you get the error that prims are too far apart. Group them in logical order like all the roof prims, all the wall prims on the north side, etc. Then use your rez thingy. I second the idea of getting an alt. It's really difficult to look at your perms just by looking at your own inventory. Especially if you have a lot of scripts or prims inside prims. You have to give it to another avatar to really see what the final perms are.
