there just has to be a way to change the physical properties of more than one prim at a time using numbers, right?

i would like to be able to select several prims and be able to alter their sizes and rotate them all by punching in numbers in a single box. is it possible? no? why not?

I think you can't, because the idea is probably that objects that are relative to one another (linked) oughtn't change their sizes, lest they lose accuracy in their relative displacement. Same goes for rotations, etc. It could be made possible, but I think the idea is to prevent "decay". Just my interpretation. (And yes, I too wish there was a way to override it for special circumstances ;) )

Perhaps I misunderstood your question. With respect to rotating the entire group as a whole by a certain angle (which can be done using the mouse, but not the keyboard) -- it would be nice to be able to rotate the entire group, as whole, to a specific angle as entered by the keyboard, but it would need to be relative to a particular prim of the group (say, the root). I don't see why that's not possible, but I haven't yet seen a way.
