Need Hair?/looking for models

Just an FYI: I've opened a hair shop in lovely downtown Darkwood Plaza specializing in hair textures and especially those crazy textures I've been seen using on my own hair. We have tiger hair, leopard hair, cowskin hair, hair representing the four season (including two winter hair textures), and a line I call the "explosion" line that looks a little like crazy fur when worn :) -- in bronze, red, yellow and green, and other colors. There are also various other textures available, to many to mention all of them really. Please come on down and check them out when you are in Darkwood.

Also, I have recently uploaded some lovely "normal" hair textures in blond and brunette. The brunettes have a nice "braided" look to them and the blond texture is a lovely wavy look that reminds me of something out of the forties :). These textures will be in the shop sometime next week.

I'm happy to take requests and special orders. All special orders are same price as normal textures if I can then re-sell, if they are to be exclusive, I will price according to the difficulty of the job.

I also want to hire models with various hair styles so I can take better box cover pictures. Payment is made in hair -- I can't really afford to pay money atm -- but you can have any of the textures off the wall if you volunteer. Looking for smaller gals with short and long hair for that project. Please IM me in world.

Thanks for listening to my shameless self-promotion!

The address would be actually: Dore, 158, 240. There is a red type red-hair texture there. If it isn't to your liking let me know and I can do a special request.

Try to attach the hair texture via your appearance menu. You cant just drag textures to your AV like you can with attachments.

First, you buy a texture. Then edit the box it comes in and drag the texture from the "contents" portion of the object into your texture folder.

Then to put the hair on:

1) You need to open your appearance dialog box

2) Go to Hair

3) Look down near the center of the dialog box, you should see a texture that shows the type of hair you are currently wearing. Use that box to find the texture in your inventory. Usually my textures are named something like Hair--Red Explosion--Zana Original. Click on that texture and hit ok.

4) Now, you should see the hair on your head. If the colors aren't quite right, use the colors sliders in the "hair" portion of the appearance dialog box. Usually, for my textures to look right, there should be no color added to the hair itself -- just put everything on white or no color and the correct color will show up. Otherwise, you are "coloring" the texture and instead of the original color of the texture, you will get the pattern of the texture, but not the right color.

I hope that helps. I'll get in touch, Cienna!

Did someone say model needed?
10-21-2003 07:12
Im the girl for that :)

I'm in desperate need for some pony tails and other hair styles that can hold my hair texture for "streaked hair" and I'm also a red-head. I've posted a pic below of what I look like as well.

I'll be looking for you in online Zana :)

I look forward to seeing your work.

box edit?
10-21-2003 09:35
Looks like I missed a step. (I guess that is why I had the box on my head) How do I edit the box it came in?

Thanks for the other information.

Don, detach the box on your head and then drag it from your inventory to the ground in front of you. You can now edit as Zana explained.

Thank You Loki. I was not shure if I had to put the box on the ground or if I could edit it from the inventory.
