ok i've made my first hair style an it looks alright up close but whenever i zoom out it pixcilates badly and i get half bald an such things. i've tried changing the zoom on other hair styles an it doesn't change like on mine. how do i stop this?

Prisms? For hair? Did you mean prims? Or do you really want pyramid shaped hair?
Anyway, how about a screenshot? It sounds like you're describing alpha sorting problems, but there's no way to know for sure without seeing what you're talking about.

Could be LOD too. As you back out on objects, they commonly show less detail. You could just be seeing a downgraded version of the prims you made the hair out of.

It's LOD (the level of detail is diminished when you further away from an object). It does happen with different hairstyles, it's not just you. In a nutshell, you can minimize this by using larger prims and by layering.

Try to work on low resolution on your 3D editor because when you change the zoom this affect the resolution or something like that, i mean if your low reslution object is ok in your editor export it and it would be ok also inworld from any zoom.
