I have made sculpties before without any real problem in Maya, I wanted to try a new blade and I have made it multiple times at varying detail levels per sculpty prim, yet everytime I upload it into SL is messes up.

This is the sculpty in maya, it is two sculpties, the top part is 12x12 spans and the bottom 16x12.

This is what it looks like after removing history, freezing and resetting transformations and deleting history and then exporting it to SL.


Could anyone tell me why this isn't working right?

EDIT

I already found out what I was doing wrong, it's been a while since I did sculpties and I was saving them as jpgs, when I saved as png it worked fine again.
