I'm looking for journalists, reporters, and photographers to help me in my weekly newsmagazine. Once a week, we would publish worldwide on the happenings of Second Life. Payment would depend on readership (ie how many people bought a copy) and how many contributors we have.

Reasons I'm going ahead with this:

1) New World Notes is not in-game. This would be distributed around the world as an object/notecard thing.

2) NWN doesn't report on the things that happen. At most, one or two things a week are reported on. i want more in-depth reporting. Sorry hamlet :)

3) Competition. Nothing wrong with a little, eh? :)

4) It makes it seem more local. Most of the stuff I read in NWN seems... foreign to me. I want people reporting on the happenings of their own neighborhoods. What's going on in Blue? or Slate? or Teal? Tell me, report on new buildings, new businesses, conflicts between neighbors, and so on :)

My friendly neighbor Ezhar Fairlight has devised a distribution model for the paper, so don't worry about it :)

Please help :)

Yeah? Well, smileys keep people from getting on edge.

Plus, I haven't seen the Villager, so I'll just make my own paper just the same :)

Lordfly,

As your new neighbor and a writer I think I'm almost obligated to help you out on this, aren't I? :).

Anyway, sign me up as a reporter if you like, I'll be happy to help you out :).

P.S. I think one smilie per line is acceptable, don't you?

Alright, so we've teamed up the Consumer Report people to give you two publications :)

The Linden Gazette woulldn't mind the following contributors:

1) Feature writers (stuff that doesn't need to be timely, like interviews etc.)
2) News writers ( stuff that DOES need to be timely, like event winnings, etc.)
3) a cartoonist
4) Editorial writers
5) Photographers
6) beat reporters (reporting things that are happening int he area you're assigned to)

The more the merrier :) Payment on your work will be dependant on two things:

1) how many people bought the paper that week/month/whatever
2) How much of the issue you contributed.

1) will calculate the total amount available to pay. 2) will calculate how much of that pool you get per week. So it will most likely vary from week to week. Keep that in mind :)

Anyone interested? PLEASE? :D

Hey, lord. Would you mind leaseing your reporters to me for a bit? I have a few stories I need completed soon and having some freelance reporters would be a big help to me. I promise not to take them up but I can pay them for their work on an article by article basis. Also this way you can see what their skill is at writing articles.

Let me know if you'd be okay with this.

Thanks,
RS.
