Davo, last fall I sank quite a bit of money, time, and effort into two websites, secondlifefanclub.com and slchat.com

The Link section on SL's website at that time said "send us the info and we'll link you here". I got slfanclub.com up and running, excitedly sent Linden the info, and purchased and started work on slchat.com.

A few days later I went to check if slfanclub.com was linked yet. Lo and behold, in typical Linden style, they had changed the wording to what it says now: "send us the info". Period. So I emailed again and asked what happened. I never got a response.

Linden deliberately changed the wording AFTER I bought, developed, and submitted my website, per their ad.

This was back around mid-December. It angers me tremendously that Linden misled customers by advertising on their website that if people spent the time, money, and effort to develop a website, they'd link it. And then knowing I spent that money and effort in good faith, sent in my info as they advertised, to deliberately change the website wording, without so much as an explanation, let alone an apology, is just unconscionable.

Let me add that some time ago both Philip and Robin told me they'd give me pictures for my website. When I emailed to ask for them, I was told that Linden would not give *any* pictures to *any* residents for *any* websites.

And now, guess what Linden's been doing recently? Yup -- giving pictures to residents for their websites. *Other* residents of course.

And what else has Linden been doing? Linking to resident fan sites. *Other* residents' fan sites of course.

I'd prefer that Linden be upfront and honest. They could have just put on their website "send us your website info and we'll link it here -- unless you're Candie Apple". And they could have responded to my request for pictures by simply stating "no, Candie, we will not provide *you* with pictures for *your* website."

I wouldn't have liked it, but at least it would have been upfront. I have a whole lot more respect for people who are honest under any circumstances, than people who are deceptive and manipulative.

So, will I be developing that site? Hell no. I've lost more than enough money, and wasted more than enough time and effort on it. And Linden has gotten far, far more from me than they ever deserved.

It would be great to get Linden support but basically I dont need it.. Sometimes I think Secondlife is bigger than Lindens

I thank them for giving us secondlife, I love secondlife, but now we build our world and we can create fansites too. That's why they have the toolkit.

Anyway the link section on my site is already joining sites in a pseudo ring and it wiill just get better.

I do this all for fun Candie..hope you are enjoying it too..if not come and have a tube ride with me in the new sims some time...very relaxing

I like conspiracy theories though. Very entertaining. I listen to Coast to Coast AM many nights to collect more. Did you know that the Earth is about to be destroyed by, well, by just about everything. And they're NOT TELLING US!!

Anyway, I went to that About page, and what do I find there? Discrimination! Get this:

"Connect with _new_ and exciting people" (emphasis mine)

How dare they insult this old fart? Nevermind the "exciting" part!
