how to make "fluffy" prims?

I see lots of "Fluff balls" "Afros" etc with weird shaped prim to them and im curious how to make them?

it may be the texture that is making the edges appear that way. Textures can have invisible parts if done as say a .png file. Which means that anything that doesn't have a colored area will truly be clear on a prim in world. :) Hope that explained it. As far as making it you would have to go into details and add extra prims to the main prim, possibly .

It could also be a "fluff sculpty" with a highly anfractuous shape and carefully arranged areas of partial transparency.
