Has anyone had experience building large structures, like towers or houses, that are completely physical? I've found that a simple 40 meter tall by 20 x 20 structure bounces around in the breeze. Any way to strap it down during a twister? Or just on any normal day? Or do I need a really wide base, more of a pyramid shape? I want it to not move around once it's placed on the ground.

Why do you need a tower or a house to be physical in the first place?

From: Chosen Few Why do you need a tower or a house to be physical in the first place? I've been playing with a double-flipping Ferris Wheel design. The large physical structure was the base, so I could insert a physical axle in it. But alas, the physics don't let me create an axle that will stay put. It rotates and rips right through the physical base and goes flinging madly into my neighbors' sims. OW! I had this problem with a Tilt a Whirl, but had it fixed until Havok 4...

Seems to me there is no reason a ride needs to be physical, unless you really want it to roll away. Or is there something I am missing? Does it change the way avatars interact with it, especially regarding rotation and parent and child prims? If so, I would dearly love to know, because, as you no doubt know, a simple teacup ride is at least NEARLY impossible to make without prim animation, at least if you want the avatars to spin with the teacups.
