here we go again just when i thought that time i spent learning to build in sl was rewarding and with all my builders ups and downs i finally set my self up to upgrade to another creative level and start to use huge prims.......(via unbelievable easy to use salt hud)........... primarily to avoid that ugly seams and to reduce prim number............ i realized that just after rezzing the first huge prim ( 16x16x0.30 ) and drag and dropped prim docker script into it (using prim docker as align tool primarily) the huge prim shrinks and suddenly became normal 10x10x0.30 prim........ ........what a downer!!!!!!!...i 've heard about shrinking huge prims when tried to change size but didnt expect that it will shrink coz of the script too........... is there any way to control huge prims with any aligning tool except default snap function in editor? please....... thanx, shtax

Hi SHTAX. I've never tried to use Prim Docker with Mega Prims, but use Skidz Primz with them all the time. All you do is drop the Skidz script into a mega, wait for it to do its magic, and you can align them easily.

Shtax, The answer is yes you already own it and its called prim.docker! Now you're asking yourself how to do it? Add prim.docker to a normal prim and link them making the normal prim the root prim. Just remember that prim.docker aligns to the whole linkset and to the root prim so centre placement may not always work correctly.

Most megas are in a standard size. Some at x.5 or x.25. Set you building grid at an appropriate size, place your first mega and go from that. Just use the building grid, it's usually quicker anyway.

It does not however align to the root prim in the linkset it aligns to the whole linkset. Hence the reason linking a normal prim to the mega and having this as your root prim allows you to align the mega with Prim.Docker. Step 1 Rez your mega Step 2 Rez a normal prim on top of the mega Step 3 Place Prim.Docker script in Normal prim Step 4 Link both together making sure your normal prim was selected last and link, now your normal prim will be the root prim. Align as normal, subject to the axis you're aligning to you made need to resize and move the root prim to another side of the mega. The maximum so far that I have linked is a normal 10x10 prim on a 128x64 mega prim making the 10x10 the root and aligned all other prims mega, normal and linksets without any problem. Or alternatively do what Kornscope mentioned but for me its the speed in which I can build that I use Prim.Docker this way and not the rulers and grid.
