Land in Kissling for cheap. Entrepreneurs Wanted!

Pardon the crossposting. I realized belatedly this is really where my post belongs, but I don't want to delete it in the main forum in case someone thinks I may have decided not to do the contest. I have one entry so far.

Hello hello folks,

I have a plot in Kissling, the location of my original store, that I no longer have any use for. The plot is located at 142, 47 Kissling. It's 720/m2.
Kissling is in a good spot, and served me very well to launch my business some months back. Rather than sell it to the highest bidder or stick a price on it and wait for someone to buy it, I'd like to sell it to a budding SL businessperson at the base $1/m2 price. So, $720 for a piece of land on Kissling Island. This is a city-like location, easy to find and along a major fly-route.

NOTE: This location is not well suited to a house or any kind of fantasy build. It's primarily a commercial centre, for businesses. Also, it was offered awhile ago for Kissling people to buy Linden land elsewhere in the sim for prim allotments. I don't know if that offer still stands. I think the person to contact is Haney. Right now, the land can support 164 objects.

So, how do you enter, do you ask? Well, write me a short paragraph describing what you do, and how long you've been in-game. Then, drop me a landmark of where your stuff is now. The criteria for my decision will be based on the following:

1) The quality of your work.
2) How long you've been in-game. I'd rather see the spot go to a new designer than to a vetran.
3) Whether or not you already have a good store location.


I know I might not get any entries at all. If I don't, I'll just sell it or do a forum auction for it. I'd prefer to do it this way though. You can post your info in a reply to this thread. Or if you don't feel comfortable with that, drop me an IM. In the event I get a bunch of good entries, I'll do a draw.

Oh, this isn't limited to clothing designers either. Builders and scripters are welcome to enter as well. Anyone who sells objects in world, please enter!

My name is Alexis Patel. I have been playing SL for about a month, and the best thing about it is the creativity. I am a fashion designer in rl, (degree in Fashion Design from Central Michigan University) and adore the designing in SL. It gives me an outlet for my creative juices. I have just begun to design clothing and have dabbled in jewelry design.

I aquired my first plot of land, next to my sons land, thru land for the landless in Gerstle (98, 177). You can see my SL designs there. I have tried to get my designs into malls about the world, but have seen three of the malls that accepted my things close within a two week period. (Maroon, Periwinkle, and unopened Jenner) So I begin again looking for places to display my unique designs.

I have designed for another online game (There) for over a year, and if you would like to see the uniqueness and quality of my skill, please visit my There website. First I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I trully appreciate it. ( I understand the cartoonish feel of There. It is their full intention to keep the world that way. In fact, there are no mature areas anywhere, and conversation that is viewable chat is to be kept PG-13 at all times, except in private IMs.)


I realized there is one thing many SL players may not know as they view my There designs....

There has templates that are 128 x 256 pixels for tops and 128 x 128 for pants, LESS than half the size of SL... I am very limited in how detailed I can make those designs .

in comparison, the templates for SL are 512 x 512.

So the detail available in SL is impossible in There... another reason SL is so much better.
