Maya Sculpties upload with section cut out

I have been creating sculpties in Maya, however when I upload the sculpt maps and apply them, there is always a missing section. I only use deformed NURBS spheres; I delete my history, freeze and reset my transformations, then delete my history again and I upload using lossless compression. Despite all of this, my problem continues.... Any thoughts as to how to resolve this???

I haven't had this problem for quite a while so I don't remember exactly how I used to fix it. But try rotating your sculpt map 90 degrees in photoshop. It sounds like you're having an issue with the last row of vertices.

Also, even though it should be the default, just go ahead and make sure that your sculpt type is set to sphere.

In addition to what Brigg said, I'd add a few more things to try:

1. Make sure your sculpt maps are 64x64. If you make them 32x32 or smaller, you could have problems.

2. Make sure Correct Orientation is checked in the exporter. In some versions of the exporter script, there's a scrollbar in the way of the checkbox, preventing you from checking it. Search the script for the word "srollable" and if there's a 1 next to it, change it to a 0. Re-run the script, and the scrollbar will go away.

3. Set your global up axis is set to Y. (Window -> Settings/Preferences -> Preferences -> under Categories, click Settings -> in the right hand pane look where it says World Coordinate System). If you've got it set to Z-up, that can sometimes cause rotational problems like this.

4. Check your NURBS Sphere Options in Maya. (Create -> NURBS Primitives -> Sphere -> Options Box) Make sure the default axis for your spheres is set the same as the global up axis (Y).

If none of that does it, then I'd need you to explain more about your work process before I could figure out what exactly you might be doing that is inconsistent with what sculpties need.

I was having problem with maya sculpties. My sphere is looking squeezed from one adge.

I was looking for answer & I found yours have not tried the changes. Is thats why I am having ugly folds on prims ? I meaN A SPHERE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A SPHERE?
