I was under the impression the LOCK checkbox in EDIT/OBJECT would prevent an object from moving or being deleted. I had a small house grouped and locked for someone. But while placing furniture still managed to edit and move the house. Should this happen? I am not sure if I should report as a bug or if I don't understand LOCK correctly.

It prevents editing, but not deleting, taking or returning...
It's a shame, but there you are ...
*edited to correct a spelling error, d'oh!*

That probably explains it. Apparently it was "taken" by accident. I wish the LOCK function encompassed delete and take as well. It seems more logical.

Should probably be two levels of lock...
You can lock an item to prevent other people changing it, which is cool...
You *SHOULD* also be able to lock it against yourself (or next owner) taking/deleting... without at least a warning dialogue to that effect.

There should be a warning when deleting a locked object...
"At least one object is locked, but you can delete it anyway. Are you sure you want to delete these itmes?"
