Dumb question, I suppose, but is there any program for modeling a sculpt inworld? What I'd love to be able to do is create a simple (though hard in Wings, Rokuro, or the other few programs I know ans have) sculpt using inworld prims, then either output the model, or us some other something to render that model as a sculpt map.
Is there anything event remotely like this?

There is, or was, a tool for making sculpties in-world using an engine on an external web site. The idea, I recall, was that you made an object using prims, the usual way. Then, this tool analyzed the object by bumping into it many, many times, and sending the collision date to a web server which sent back a sculpt texture.
It was discussed here in the Forums somewhere. Ask your Mommy to help you search for it.

Marianne, here's another you may want to have a look at... http://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=278458I've used the one 2K suggested and this particular one....personally I find the second one much easier to use and it's very well documented etc......

The SLoft one might do what I want, but I found it confusing an not too well documented. I also did not want to bug the maker over my problems.

There are some listed on PKpuncework site. http://pkpounceworks.sljoint.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=28&func=select&id=19I think the most advanced, yet simple to use, one has to be Sculpt Studio. http://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=278458If you look at the xtreet listing you will see there are "Office Hours" offered, held at the Fermi sandbox. I went once and saw some of what happens and a few people there are people who owned it and many who where wanting to own it or just curious. They learn some tricks and ask questions and he shows you how to make something and you can ask him to demo how to achive something, like the look of 2 prims in one sculpt etc. BUT, it is a lot of L's compared to the others. This one I had little luck with, but it will give you a basic shape. You need to blur the sculpts or load them into sculptiepaint and hit the smooth button. BUT, it is fully functional and free. http://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=667185

Whatever happened to SLoft?
I can no longer find it on XstreetSL. Did the maker remove it and stop supporting it?

Sculpt Studio

I have just started using Sculpt Studio in world. It is a very easy to use application based on SL building techniques. Read the 'How To' document but ignore the flipchart that comes with the product and go straight to Ghanie Lane's five part tutorial on her web site (the link is in her picks).
Within a few hours you will have sculpted a balloon, which isn't exactly an earth shattering development by anyone's standards, but you will understand enough about the application and very basic sculpting techniques to get going.
TheBlack Box (Sculpt Studio's creator) also appears to be conscientious about updating the product. He or she has just released version 4.0, which is fully updated to run on mono.

From: Lee Ponzu Ask your Mommy to help you search for it. Ack! Wait a minute folks. Marianne role plays a little girl. I was just role playing, not insulting her.
