I've been trying to create a small (1 meter long and .05 - .02 thick) Curved hose object without much success.

Don't see one in the Prim Library and i've asked a few longtime members for advice to no avail. A cylinder doesn't seem to curve.

I've been told that you use the Torus with some cutting, and that works fine on a large scale but when it's shrunk it degnerates into a straight sticklike object. Any suggestions?

I've thought about doing an inelegant workaround by putting a picture of a hose with a transparent Background on a panel but that seems a little goofy. A solution invovling curved "wire" might work as well. thanks

well, if you want a round hose, the smallest you can get it is .05.

this is how:

rez a torus
make the x size .05
make the hole size (right hand side toward bottom of edit window) .05

When the Y and Z dimension are 1.0, then you have a perfectly round .05 M hose.

Use cut to get the length you want, and scale sides (not to much, dont want to distort the roundness of your hose) to get the curve you want.

Rmember that that hole value is a pecentage of the Y and Z sizes...

Thanks so much! I'll try that.
