Hi

I need sculpted avatars, sitting and standing ones.
What is the easiest program to make these sculptures?

Thanks in advance

There can be no answer to what's the "easiest" program. It's largely a matter of personal preference. Do you have any experience with 3D modeling outside of SL?

If you're willing to just move avatar sculpts around for poses, as seen all over SL, this will give you a few options to choose from (If unclickable, just copy into URL bar):

If you want to create whole new sculpts, well, ease is based on what you know and how you work. If you know any 3d modeling program already, then there's probably a way to use it for this. If not, experiment! A list of tools with some manner of support (Listed by price, including free) can be found here:

If you're brand new to 3d modelling, though, and you expect awesome things immediately, you'll probably get frustrated relatively fast. It's learning a new skill, and a new (or multiple even) program. It takes time and patience. Luckily just about all programs have official guides and tutes and numerous fan-made resources as well.

If you are working with blender, you can find the beginning of your dreams here:

Unfortunately it will take a while until you can get to the end of your dreams ;-)
No, not kidding. Indeed Domino has started a great work here. I fiddled around with the .blend file a bit and i stopped when i eventually came to the point where i wanted to "export the avatar as sculptie-collection". This is not supported and it takes quite a bit to get it done.

But i am sure there is a path to success here. maybe not for new and unexperienced users though. But i wanted to mention this work because it is definitely worthwhile to look at!

Have Fun

you can buy them as well, several people have made it their business to make incredably realistic avies from sculpt maps. Some even full mod, full perm, what have you. I had one up as a greeter, but the damn hair, prim hair is crazy unless you wear it. I mean expect a few hundred prims per 'avatar' here.
