I been trying to bake in zbrush and it seems the only mesh that works is one used from wings and never used in another other program for tweaking like rokuro or blneder or sculpt paint sculpt stuido. When i bring it back to wings and save as a obj. file and bring it into z brush, the baking process doesnt reconize it to finalize the texture, and just creates a black solid texture.

So i tried all different saving and back and forth, nothing seems to work, unless i use the mesh of wings, use wings only to sculpt it and use wings only to export it, then it only works that way.

but take the wings mesh to any other program and bring back to wings, save as obj and import to z brush, it will not bake.

So my question is, if you wish to bakje in z brush, do you have to use wing meshes only and only use wings as a 3d program tool if you wish to bake in z brush.

Thanks and im looking for some dicrection here, i spent 2 months testing this and still cant get it.

Are you saying that you have created an object in Wings and wish to import it to Zbrush for texturing and baking shading? I've done that in the past without trouble, so long as the mesh is SL compatible, so it is possible :)

Perhaps you could start with a SL compatible mesh in Zbrush (I usually start with an 8x9 sphere and divide twice as I sculpt it). Then export it to Wings (as an obj file) and do whatever you like in Wings, then export it back to Zbrush.

well if i take a 32x31 tri mesh from wings to z brush, np baking it.

If i take a mesh from rokuro, which i like to use as a starting point for my creations, then bring them into wings or blender. But when i start with a rokuro mesh, and bring it into wings then Z or right into Z, i can paint the polys and all but when i go to texture tab the col>tex tab isnt highlighted and i have to enable uv, and when i click col> tex, i get a solid black texture.

But when i use a mesh from wings, then bring into rokuro, then back to wings, then into z brush, it wont bake properly at the end when i click col>tex, turns black.

If i take a wings mesh, sculpt in wings only, take into z brush, baking works fine.

so basically it seems, you can only use wing meshes if you wish to bake in z brush. Z brush will not accept meshes from any other programs, not blender, not rokuro, not sculpt studio, not sculpty paint. And each time i took a wings mesh and took into any other program and brought back to wings, z brush didnt bake right, so even a wings mesh that works normally in z brush when taken out of wings into any other program, tweaked and brought back, z brush sees it different now, not as a orginaly wings mesh

Hmmmm...sorry, I've never tried to import Rokuro meshes into Zbrush, so I've no idea why the UV map isn't working for you in Zbrush.

wondering if it has something to do with the poles, i read somewheres that rokuro obj file when it saves chnages the rgb to like gbr or something to that effect. really not sure how i would change that and bring back to z brush.
