I have a full perm linked object, bought, i can copy and mod it but when i take it back into my inventory it becomes no transfer, The only mod i did was retexturizing it and i've used these textures before with no problems. Any ideas?

You know, i have experienced something similar. I have no idea why it does it.

Just in case, have you double checked the perms on your textures?

When you re-rez the item after taking it back into inventory (when the perm changes), does it switch back to being transferable?

nope, i can rez it exactly as is and when i take that copy back into inventory it is no transfer. i've discovered that this can happen when you make a copy of a copy of a full perm linked object, it's almost like next generation copies do not inherit the full perms

This has been driving me insane. Almost everything I rez that I have full perm (I have a lot of custom stuff done) has its perms borked if I take it back into to my inventory. I haven't needed to use much of the stuff yet and I have taken to checking the perms while stuff is my inventory under properties to check perms before I rez. As well, after rezzing I do that bulk perm thing to reset the perms before taking it back into inventory but geez...there is something wrong with perms and SL these days.

I think the intention was to reset the perms when things were rezzed to prevent inadvertantly setting out full perms items by mistake..or at least that is the sense I get.

Permissions don't 'take' until rezzed. So the item you think is full perms may actually be no-trans. It just doesn't show until rezzed and taken back. This has been the source of headaches for many creators as the item can end up in the hands of customers with perms other than what they intended.

Always rez your items to set perms to avoid this issue. Setting perms while in inventory is dicey.

Hmm.. I dunno.

I have had the exact same thing happened to me with items i have made myself or that were given to me full perm because i had it made for me.

One minute is full perm. Then the moment i manipulate it, it shifts to No Trans. It has only happened 3 times with me, but when it does it really really miffs me.

Check the permissions on, and in, every single linked piece. Including the "internal" stuff, like scripts, textures, sculpty textures, absolutely everything. If there'e one piece that's not full permissions, that'll effect everything.

I've had the same thing happen twice with my house builds. What I did about it was take it apart piece by piece until I found the one prim that was messed up. In both cases, it turned out to be a window (regular prim) with a stained glass texture on it. Back to the original, unlink, delete, replace, relink that one prim and it was fixed. I don't know why it happened in the first place but that's how I fixed it. Good luck.
