I'm wanting to remove walls in a house...(asking before I buy the house) it is MOD... Do I unlink the walls, and then just delete them...or is it more difficult than that? Thanks, Cheryl

It kinda depends. Before you buy the house, go into Edit mode and select individual prims to see how it's put together. It you're lucky, a wall you want to remove will be just that ... a single wall. If not, it might be a prim that makes a wall on both the first and second floor, for example, so removing it could be more problematic. Also, assuming that it's a wall between two rooms, consider how the remaining walls are textured. Chances are, you won't own the textures so it won't be possible to re-wallpaper the remaining walls without using a whole new texture in your own inventory. Basically, though, the simple answer is Yes .... to remove a wall all you have to do is select it, Unlink, and delete it.
Oh, and make yourself a backup copy of the house before you make any changes, just in case (assuming that you have copy permission).

the sequence is open edit (ctrl+3) check edit linked parts select the prim to remove unlink it (ctrl+shft+L) UNCHECK EDIT LINKED PARTS press delete
delete silently fails if edit linked is checked, even for single prim objects.
