People,

I'm kind of bored these days in Second Life... I need something exciting and new to spur me on...

I have always wanted a brand new, plate glass building, with dark black shaded windows you can see out of, but not into very well...

It should have a very inpressive lobby, and about, hmm.... between 10 and 20 stories, plus something posh and executive at the top.

So there you have it, an idea... I know my building skills are shocking (you either have it or you don't, I can code some hot stuff but I couldn't design a good looking paper bag) so please, reply with your quotes and an example of a cool build you've done.

You should probably specify how many prims you're looking for upfront.

Hmm,

Well I have a max of about 1,200 prims available, but that doesn't mean I want to use that much... As few as possible I'd say, but don't let the building get plain or a square of textures to save on prims. Here's some DOs and DONT's:

DO

* Use prims to make the building look smart and suave
* come up with a well good skyscraper

DON'T

* Decide that it's OK to use 50 prims on some nice flowers, small things are not required, the brief is to supply a really impressive looking building with many rooms and floors

I should probably mention also, I'd like an elevator shaft in the finished structure. Thanks.

You should IM Lordfly Digeridoo. He built the grignano towers (i don't think they are still extant, though.) Impressive two tower structure with a minimum of frou-frou.

I have done several skyscrapers in SL and would have no problem creating what you wish. Take a look in Barcola, I have two im currently working on...both are untextured currently (just different colors and transparencies/shinyness for ease of texturing later) .

The one at about 130,20 is 600 prims and I think 10 floors with excellent fly in access from the center, yet appears solid from the exterior. It is completely symmetrical yet far from just cubes. What is there now took me about 3 hours without any planning and a few delete/recreate steps. i would be willing to sell this one as a unique structure with full mod rights to you. I can easily put it in inv and replace it on your land as well.

The one at 75,15 is a work in progress and soon to be my own executive build to replace Knox Towers and .:The LeveL:. dance club that was once there. If you never saw the first i have pictures of it as well and it was complete with lobby, waterfeatures, lounge, once it had an elevator, and a penthouse of course ;) I am into this one about 3 hours now too.

I have at least one other scaled down version of a twin skyscraper model i started as well in Inventory, and i have made about 6 in world at one point or another, and will work for next to nothing (it is my passion here). Would be more then willing to assist you and I have developed some efficient high rise building techniques.

Look me up in world and check em out Jsecure...

if you're feeling a bit adventurous... :)

I've been perfecting my FIRST ever skyscraper. It's a very eye-catching series of curved pods that slowly spiral upwards with the building. contact me in-world if you are interested in seing it.

Apartment complex, office space or retail center. Probably all three :)

Thanks :)

Yes, they were blown up in a show of kaboomerie. I have pictures, even.

How about a matrix-style lobby with explodable columns? That'd be w00t!
