I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed (and totally incompetent) regarding how to build my own objects and/or manipulate and position the free objects I've acquired. Is there a good website anywhere, designed for "challenged" individuals like myself, that addresses how to successfully create things (other than clothing)? I have no scripting experience, and my graphics experience is limited to working with web page graphics in PSP.

Go to the Ivory Tower of Primitves in Noyo. Use the Find PLaces to ge ta landmark. Great utorial. Then go to a sandbox to practice... Morris or Cordova is most often used.

Another good way to learn - drop by the GNU store in Davenport 77,77. The products there (including furniture, housing and vehicles) are fully Moddable, so you can pull them apart and see how they were created.
IM me inworld and I will happily drop a few items to you to play with.

There is a also a low-prim building exhibit (if anyone has additional suggestions for the exhibit, please let me know) at the University of SL Library on the 5th floor of the MegaTower in BonnyDoon.
