I just purchased a 1/4 island. Hired another person to do the terraforming. He buried my skybox instead of putting it up where is should be.

My problem is this!

How do i remove the skybox that is buried to and unknown depth.

What have I tried!

1. located it using show ownership ( so now I know where is located )
2. I tried to lower the land to where i can see it and take object ( not working )
3. Accessed about land, show objects, but it seem i need to return all my objects ( Not sure why I can't just pick one item)

What have I learned!

1. Do it myself next time!

Thank You!

ok.

1. Zoom your camera out over the land where the house is.

2. Go into edit mode by hitting CONTROL-3

3. Hold the SHIFT key down, and the DRAG the mouse over the area your house is in. The entire house should be highlighted.

4. Raise your house.

Edit to add: You may want to go to the TOOLs menu and choose "SELECT MY OBJECTS ONLY" before you attempt this so you only grab your objects making it easier to move things on your first attempt.

- And make sure you deselect that option after using it or you may find yourself frustrated for hours later on.

Are you sure it's buried instead of just being REALLY high up (a couple of kilometers up)?

See, you just can't bury things in SL more than about a meter. They pop to the surface. You can hide part of a linkset deeper than that, up to the maximum size of a linkset, but the center of the root prim still has to be at or near ground level.

Type CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-5 and the texture of the sim (land) is transparant and you can see below the ground

Not always, Argent. You can't move a linkset into the ground, but you CAN move the ground above a linkset burrying it completely.

As Zoha said, use CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-5 to toggle rendering of terain off, and you'll see everything that may be below the ground, and can click on it and edit its position. This option is also on the Advanced Menu: Advanced > Rendering > Types > Surface Patch.

Without having it returned?
