Object-Editing Sensitivity

Is it just me, or has something changed with object editing? To me, it seems that the red/green/blue axis arrows aren't as sensitive as they were before the recent upgrades. By sensitive, I mean that they don't recognize a mouse-over unless the cursor is exactly over the arrow. Before, it seemed like the individual arrows would hilight if the cursor was in their vicinity. So, I've found myself routinely clicking to drag an object, and unexpectedly dragging a random object in the background. I don't believe I'm editing building any differently this week than last week, and I can't remember this ever happening before.

Oh, if they changed it to just the arrow heads, I'll be a very happy newbie builder.
