I dont know if it was the guys in the stupid spaceship above that did it but Im done with huge prims. Now, can prims of regular size be overlapped without a problem with textures or anything? I dont want anymore problems. lol

What exactly happened?

Overlapping prims, texture or not is usually a problem no matter the type of prim huge/regular.

lol well it was fine and all of a sudden the huge prims just shrunk causing every thing to not fly but twist out and up and in, sort of a controlled blow apart. But there was this huge spaceship thing hovering over me when it happened and I saw other peoples stuff literally just explode with stuff flying everywhere. I felt bad for the guy cuz he had been there as long as I had which is a long time. I dont know why the prims shrunk. I wasnt changing their size or anything. It was like combustible. I had to basically start over. It kind of made me sick to my stomach as I had been working on it for HOURS. Not just a couple either. Like 8-10 hours. oh well. Thanks for the reassurance that my walls wont explode if I overlap them. ;)

Yep - you can't edit much on megaprims. The sim doesn't want things to be bigger than 10x10x10 so if you go anywhere near the size settings, the sim will clamp it back down to 10m.

you should take a copy of your work every 1/2 hour becuase at any time a linden can reboot your sim and revert it to a backup, i think they do it for fun but thats not the point, you can always delete the copys but you can never get back what no longer exists :)

If it was the guys in the spaceship then thats a really interesting exploit that can get other peoples mega-prims to shrink to standard size. Ive had mega-prims do this to me before but has usually been when has been a server upgrade. Can you drop me a LM inworld to that place please. I really would like to see this if these guys show up again.
