Did changing the transparency always reset the colors on an object?

I changed the transparency from 0 to 90 and then back to 0 and all the colors on my object were messed up.

Was this always the case?

blaze,
In 1.5.x it would do the same thing. I can't remeber if it was like that in the 1.4.x releases. My experience has been that changing the alpha on a prim, without selecting an individual face, will change the entire prim to the color of face 0.

Yup, kind of sucks, something you have to get use to. Also happens if you drag a texture to the texture box.
