Myst / D'Ni project

There are now two Myst/D'Ni groups in SL. Why? Shouldn't there be just one?

Oh, well. I joined the other one, too.

Is anyone besides me doing anything Myst/D'Ni related? Has anyone even gotten the linking book sounds I provided? (The sounds are still located in an object inside my D'Ni building in Taber (15,235); unfortunately it's copyable to only one of the Myst groups, "Myst/D'Ni Project".)

Thanks! Still a long ways to go, though. Especially when I only spend a couple hours here and there on it.

We keep missing each other in-world. When do you usually get on SL? I'm on more-or-less randomly, but am willing to sync up with other's schedules.

... I guess I'll jump in and make some project suggestions.

First, we need linking books, which are, naturally, the focus of the Myst series. I have a book stand and linking sounds, but haven't created a book. Would someone like to create a base book object that we could use as a template for all linking books? I envision something that we can paste in an image of the SL location to link to, and tweak a script variable for link target.

Second, we need puzzles, with possible linking books to link to the next puzzle in line. I have one I'm working on, but it's very slow progress as I'm busy in RL; I'm only able to spend about 2-6 hours a week in SL. Does anyone have any puzzle ideas?

Third, we might want to create a set of basic puzzle components usable in quickly making new puzzles. I'm thinking of buttons, switches, levers, etc.
