Ride around Linden World

Hello, I got an idea and I would like to ask linden-world-builders if there are at all interesed.
As you might have seen I've built a rollercoaster (the one with the double rail).
On straight (or almost straight) rail the car runs pretty good so it would be possible to make a ride that goes ALL the way trhough lindenworld, so you can see all the amazing attractions in 1 ride :)

This would be great for everyone to put up signs and show people who are riding what they build.

The rail is pretty easy to make and I can make 10 meters long pieces of rail. That would mean about 6 or 8 objects over your territory. (more if you want some speed action or a corner)
The idea is very do-able and I think I could make this in a cuople of days.
I won't just go ahead and built, but I will ask every owner IF they want the ride over their spot and WHERE they want it.

Well let me know if you are interested, also if you don't own a spot, just let me know what you think.

Some idea's that pop into my head right now:

A much bigger car with a roof etc. where can you sit/stand in with multiple people.
Multiple places where you can get on and off.
On each spot there could be a voice (Well text ofcourse) that tell what kind of attraction it is etc. (owner of the spot can set the text)
Nice decorations around the track (waterfountains, waterfalls, spinning stuff, etc. etc.)

When I was a kid, there was a chair lift that went from one side of the State Fair Midway to the other, it was a lot of fun. It gave a good view of things and always inspired me to go see something up close after seeing it from the air. Gone are the days, they closed it down when someone fell off of it. :(

I would not have a problem with this type of build, but I bet a lot are really counting prims to stay under the 400 limit (I will be too once I get more done on my build). So, that would probably be the only blockade, seems like something like this would benefit all ultimately.

Maybe a balloon tour or something could be a solution, no permanant prims on others land.

I don' t know if this is in keeping with your idea, Mark, but you could set up a trackless ride over the fair -- like those hippo trolleys.

That's not as interesting, I suppose, but it wouldn't require any extra prims over other people's land.

Just an idea.

Or if you REALLY want to have a physics enabled multi-plot transportation system, JUMP the coaster over intervening plots, al la Evel Knievel. :)

Careful with the landings AND he testing. ;)

hmm are you ALL using so much objects to build your stuff? Try drawing a few texture to do the little details. I promise you it will look much better!
I saw some attractions in the park that could look even better with 3 times less objects if it was using textures...

Mine could get as high as 2000+ prims total... But only 400 or less at a time. ;)

I'm a very new trial user (third day), but am enjoying the game so much, I will be joining at the end of my trial period. I like the premise of your idea, and as I don't own any land yet, it really won't impact on me one way or the other.

My only thought is, that the premise is a very cool idea, but if I should own land someday (hopefully, LOL), I don't know if I would like the idea of a rail system impeding my landscape views. As an alternate, why not build a trackless, hover-type, flying object that can go anywhere in the world (perhaps along a scripted path, if so desired) wherein you could charge the riders a fee to "see the world," per se.

Thoughts?

Breena, Linden World is a theme park. It's under construction and does not appear on the map yet but you can see it by flying west from dore and bonifacio.
No one lives there so there's probably no issues with the "view".

Actually Lindens are building a balloon ride and I only like to work on things that haven't really been done before or can be done much better.
Building a trackless ride is too much the same as a balloon ride...
