A new project to bring philanthropy to Second Life needs volunteers for several key tasks.
1. Webmaster to build a basic site that can be easily updated by the oh-so-lousy-at-html Project Lead, yours truly.
2. A graphic designer willing to create a look and feel for this venture - logo, plus font usage guidelines, etc.
3. In world volunteers - more on this later!
If you're interested, please contact me via PM!

Just a quick note...
..maybe a little more specific info, doesn't have to be really detailed, just an overall layout of what you're trying to accomplish with this..
..as in, what type of philanthropic site?
Thanks, Cybin

Ah, those details are still to come! (And some of them are still being hammered out.) Volunteers will have an oportunity to help shape this, but I've learned the hard way not to open up projects to public debate too early in their inception or it can kill them.

Might I suggest a Wiki format for your site, if it is to be updated often and easily and not wanting to require HTML experience. Best example I can point you to so far is the LSL Wiki @ Bad Geometry, which is a collaboration of about a dozen (?) SL scripters. http://www.badgeometry.com/wiki/ is the link, also found in Catherine Omega's signature

mypagesage.com is a great facility to use on a website to allow updates. Those who update just send an email containing the updated info, and it instantly updates the site.
It's easy for the webmaster to set up -- just specify 'window' areas on webpages, such as cells in tables, name them, and specify who can update which ones.
If anyone would like to try out doing the updates, I can give you the info to do so on one of my websites. There's a little demo on mypagesage.com too.
The service is free, and no ads appear on your site.
