Different sort of question, folks.
Does anyone know if LL clears out the inventory servers on the Beta Grid at intervals? I uploaded various components a couple weeks back as trial run but now I've returned to tweak them I find they've gone like snow off a hot potato - vanished!
I know things disappear on the main grid at times and wonder if it's simply the same or whether LL do more in the way of janitorial duties and tidy at intervals.

I do not think that they deliberately clear any items from your inventory. I know it can take a while for them to update your newer items from your normal inventory on the beta grid. Occasionally things can get lost on the beta grid as they do on the normal grid. You may want to check your lost and found folder. On another note, I am wondering what is going on with money on the beta grid? I am out, so I cannot go there to test uploads anymore. I was under the impression that it automatically gave you more when you ran out. Seems like sort of a strange irony to have to sell trinkets on the beta grid to get beta money for test uploads.  |

When you spend your beta grid money, it goes away. It gets renewed when they take and use a new database snapshot. I'll send you some, Infiniview.
I recall readly fairly recently about a wipe of beta grid content, with a message saying to move stuff to a particular place if you wanted to keep it out. Something like that, I'm not sure exactly.

When they do a new inventory snapshot everything up to that date that you have on Agni is then in your Aditi inverntory. It sounds like you didn't have those things in your Agni inventory so when it was updated you lost them.

They were still in development - no point in unneccesary expense on uploading unfinalised items to Agni Grid. Anyway, the comments/info about the Beta Grid funding being replenished stops me worrying unduly about having to reupload. Thanks for the replies. |
