As of last year there didn't seem to be a solution to creating a reflecting mirror. Does anyone know if it is now a possibility? Thanks Hecate

There was experimental reflection on prims for a while, but it went away when the rendering was redone. There is some partial reflection stuff on the surface of Linden water now, if you have the fancy shaders turned on. So, people still rely on camera tricks for mirrors, and reversed builds under semitransparent floors.

At the moment, you can not do a real reflective mirror in SL.

Runtai Linden had something worked out once, that looked fantastic, but apparently was way too processing intensive? Not too sure on that.

Then they tried some other method that kinda worked, but was way off in refgard to angle of incidence, angle of reflection, and distance to the surface that was supposed to be reflecting.

The current client does not, to my knowledge, have any capability to create real reflections on prims.
