Grimm, Lumiere Noir has an amazing 3d tutorial set up in Noyo, off the river. It's set up like a musuem, and it basically teaches you the basics of the modeling system, and then tells you how to use it. You'll be a pro when you walk out of there! Feel free to IM me in-world, I'll help ya out.
