Just for a change, Scripter looking to hire a modeller.
I'm looking for models of TOS Thunderbird vehicles, 1-4.
Specifications: Must look good sized between 0.25 and 1 metre Must be under 32 prims each Must all be to the same scale Preferably textured The forward direction of each vehicle must match the direction of the X axis. As I will be adding scripts to the models, I'll need the appropriate permissions, including copy. I do not intend to sell the models. You will be free to sell the models elsewhere If your interested, please reply to this thread providing, Your cost Expected prim count per model Any 'features' that would make your offer more attractive than anyone else Any links to your previous work so I can take a look.
Winning modeller may be offered further related work (Tracy Island, Fireflash, Thunderbird 5, FAB1 etc, other Gerry Anderson vehicles)
The invitation is open for two weeks.

I was actually working on Thunderbird 2 a long time ago -- back before I got mega-busy. Always had a soft spot for the Thunderbirds, and I think it's a great idea.. Best of luck with it, and I look forward to seeing what comes out of this Siggy.

Hi Siggy,
Well the project moves ahead, but I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of responses so far. I thought there would be a few Thunderbirds fans out there.
You would'nt happen to have your version hanging around would you?
Still, thanks for the reply as it gives me an exscuse to bump my thread.

I'm willing to work on this unless there are tight time limits - my available playing time may go down and I have a few architectural contracts to fulfill. I have the Thunderbirds DVDs for reference, and owned several of the Matchbox models of the vehicles as a child. I also attempted Tracy Island in Lego, but never had enough bricks IM me in-world to discuss costs. I may be able to rope someone else in to help.

Catfart (great name) - I think it was a sacrifice to the gods of 1.2, but I'll have a look.. if I ever get 'unbusy' I may remake it -- I always thought it would make a fantastic SL vehicle.. and like I said, I always had a soft spot for that show.
Siggy.

Khamon,
Only if you put 100 people between you and the model and shake the camera up and down. Bonus points if soundtrack consists of nothing but the sound of the chap next to you eating popcorn.

This sounds like a great idea, and I wanted to extend an invitation to display your thunderbirds models at the Sci Fi Museum in Indigo. If you haven't seen the museum yet, please do. It'e pretty hard to miss once you get to Indigo. Just look for the giant Star Trek battle in the sky above the Aliens LV426 colony below in the NW corner.
If you wish to put your stuff on display, I will just need unscripted copies with mod permission. The mod permission is just for resizing purposes only. I will not change your model in any way other than to size it to fit in its display area.
Anything you contribute will be clearly marked as donated by you. Let me know if you are interested.

While thinking about this - a couple of things struck me as being really really cool.
1) A pool that slid across 2) The great chutes behind the photos that took you down to the vehicles..
I think doing that in 3d would be totally cool..
I always wondered about the poor git in the space station though -- I like to imagine one day they'll cut to him a lil earlier than expected and you'll find him unshaven with a doob hanging out of his mouth - lubing up the blow up sheep in nylon stockings and gaters.
All that time in space would drive you nuts -- unless you had some kind of ultra pr0n collection -- that may explain why his hands were always clenched; the worst case of RSI in recorded history.
